Sectional pressure expanded during the mid nineteenth century bringing America into a common war. There were a couple of significant elements that assisted with expanding strains in both the North and the South. A portion of these components were the Anti-Slavery development, Kansas-Nebraska Act, the Fugitive Slave Law, John Brown’s attack at Harpers Ferry, Uncle Tom’s Cabin, and the appointment of Abraham Lincoln into Presidency.      There were many occasions that caused pressures in the North. The abolitionist subjugation development enormously affected the north’s sentiments toward bondage. Authors like William Lloyd Garrison, Frederick Douglass, and Harriet Beecher Stowe composed on the subject of bondage and helped lead the development against it. In his paper, The Liberator, William Lloyd Garrison shared his desire for complete and quick nullification: "tell a mother to bit by bit remove her angel from the fire into which it has fallen - however encourage me not to utilize balance in a reason like the present."      The Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854 maddened the North since it voided the Missouri Compromise that they consented to 34 years earlier. The Free States felt they were subverted. The Fugitive Slave Law filled the abolitionist bondage sentiments in the North. It was likely one of the most significant causes that purchased on war.
